A Coastal Sanctuary for Bees and Biodiversity
Nestled between the rainforest and the reef, Taylor Point is more than a protected landscape — it is a living ecosystem where bees thrive and nature flourishes. Our small-scale beekeeping initiative, Taylor Point Wild Honey, brings together conservation and primary production in perfect balance.
The honey gathered here is raw, unblended, and created naturally by bees foraging on native coastal flowers, paperbarks, grevilleas, and coconut palms. Every jar reflects the pure coastal air and diverse native flora that define Taylor Point.
A Pollinator Haven
Taylor Point’s coastal vegetation provides year-round nourishment for both European honeybees and native bee species. We’ve established a network of hives in naturally sheltered areas of the property, surrounded by native flowering trees and plants that support pollinators while stabilising the land and restoring the local ecosystem. Our bees play a vital role in the regeneration of coastal flora — their activity ensures that the ecosystem remains vibrant, resilient, and self-sustaining.
Pure, Raw and Local
Our honey is harvested in small batches and handled with care to preserve its natural enzymes and subtle flavours unique to the region. Each season brings a slightly different expression — a reflection of the plants in bloom and the health of the land. We call it “coastal nectar”, created not by machines, but by the living balance between bees and nature.
Environmental Commitment
Taylor Point Wild Honey exists as part of our broader conservation mission: Maintaining chemical-free and low-impact land practices. Restoring native vegetation that benefits pollinators and wildlife. Protecting soil and water quality through sustainable land care. Supporting native bee populations through habitat creation and minimal disturbance. This project embodies our belief that productive land can also be protected land — where natural harmony produces something truly valuable.
"Every drop of honey carries the story of the land - pure, coastal, alive"
A Working Landscape
Taylor Point is registered as primary production land through the management of beehives and honey production, reflecting our commitment to practical conservation.
Our 12-Month Pollinator Habitat and Honey Production Plan outlines how this property continues to serve as both a sanctuary and a small-scale working landscape.
Looking Ahead
In the coming seasons, we’ll expand our native flowering zones, introduce educational workshops about coastal pollinators, and share more of our honey with the local community.
Taylor Point Wild Honey is a small but meaningful example of how land stewardship, biodiversity, and sustainable production can coexist beautifully.
